wireless charging issue?

Last afternoon I set my week old note on my week old convertible charger, only to find that while it lit up as normal, it did not charge, or the current it wa pulling was not sufficient. I placed it on my older note 7 charger that night and after some blinking, it seemed to settle down and charge, or so I thought. Woke up to a 15 percent charge. Regular fast charging works fine...

I found with my Otterbox Defender, it sits a little high in the upright position and is very hit or miss. I have to lay it sideways to charge. Just throwing out ideas...

using a spigen clear case...it was working fine on both pads, and I have the convertible layong.flat....I will try laying it sideways on the legacy charger tonight to see of that helps, thanks...

no help at all. wiping the cache has caused the phone to not recognize the chargers at all....sigh...
