I ended up buying the 16GB Galaxy Tab at the Union Square BB, a few days prior to the international launch date. Since I'm a lowly college student with a not-so-high paying job, I opted for the cheaper 16GB option (although I feel outdated or left behind since EVERYONE on this forum seems to have gotten 32GB lol). Anyways, I spoke with a rep at BB, and he told me about the Seagate GoFlex Satellite wireless external hard drive. Basically, the Hard Drive connects to your tablet, phone, or computer, via the device's WiFi, and you can take it with you everywhere you go. The Satellite is battery powered and apparently easily lasts the whole day on a charge. If you are part of the very small minority that opted for the 16GB Tab, this seems like the perfect solution to maximize space. Basically, you get an additional 500GB of storage without any wires or adapters for your movies, music, or photos. Here's the link if anyone is interested; I might get it next month, before my vacation:

Unless youre going to fill it up with music, 16gb is plenty big. I don't have 16gb of stuff on my laptop!

True, music seems to take up the most space. I just imported all of my songs into my Google Music account. And besides, I have my phone and iPod Nano for music so I guess that shouldn't be a problem.

This is definitely the option I think I will be looking into as well. I have a 32gb ipad and it's full because of movies. When I get my Tab I will probably opt for the 16gb, and go for a wireless hd

Yes, movies are the other culprit...wait for the netflix workaround...

Yea the external hard drive definitely seems like a great option, and more companies (such as Western Digital) are bound to do it in the near future. And when it comes to movies and music, even 32GB won't be enough. That's why, at least for now, I'm going to order the USB Adapter for the Tab, keep all my favorite movies on my 16GB flash drive, and just transfer between Tablet and flash drive whenever I wanna watch a movie. And yea, Netflix needs to be released for Honeycomb asap; it's the one and only thing I miss about my iPad.

The add shows a lady transferring data between a tablet and the hard drive while riding in a car. The hard drive uses wifi, and our tablet uses wifi as well. I'm wondering... where is she getting a wifi signal from while riding in a car? Would be nice if it had Bluetooth capabilities.

That's the beauty of it. It established a direct connection between the hd and the tablet via wifi... it's not really a server, you just link the hd and the tablet together and if the two are within 30 feet of each other, you can transfer files back and forth without any internet connection.

Right... Think of it as the hard drive being a hot spot. It can connect up to 3 devices to it to share content

Wow. That's pretty neat.

Reviews were poor, but it all seemed to be from those that had issues syncing it with a Mac. One person uses it with Android and said it rocks. I also noticed that the manufacturer replied to each negative post with help of trying to remedy the issue.

I wonder though how using a wireless HD will impact the tabs battery life....

Oh and does the wireless HD need to be plugged in to a power supply?

Based on the information I read, you can charge it for use while on the go.
It can stay charged for up to 5 hours.

A very cool idea. Similar to the NAS setup I have at home. Combined with Software Data Cable, it works pretty much the same way.
