Wireless Powerbank Worth it?

I would like to get a wireless powerbank for my BlackBerry Priv, but I am not sure it would be a good idea since I know that wireless charging requires a small area of the phone to be in contact. It might not be a good idea on a portable charger where I will be moving around too.

Any recommendations? And do you think it is a good idea?

I have a Samsung power bank it's not wireless it uses a USB cord but having that portability is great when you're not always near a plug when you need one

Yup, I am not questioning the usefulness of a powerbank. I am just wondering if the wireless charging function is useful on a portable charger.

Firstly, awesome to see some Blackberry users here :D

If you get a wireless charger that has 3 coils, then its normally a lot easier to find the right spot. I think wireless charging is very cool and its nice to use but i still prefer the good old cable with my power bank. It allows me to still take calls, play games and watch vides while charging. (can move the phone around)

So my verdict would be, nice to have but not worth it :)

Its not the most efficient way to charge (wireless in general). There is more energy loss in the conversion process. I am not exactly sure how much though. So what I am getting at is this... a wireless charger with 10000 mah capacity battery bank can only deliver a total 8000 mah to the wireless charging device battery, while an identical capacity 10000 mah bank through a USB cable will be able to deliver more mah to the device battery. (my numbers aren't exact, I was just using them as an example)

That being said... if this doesn't bother you at all then go for it. I have used a wireless charging pad with my 11000 mah battery bank before, just for the heck of it... to try it out. A battery bank with a charging pad built into it would be easier to travel with than a bank + USB cable. I've been eye-ing this vinsic charger.

x2 on the triple coil charging pad. I have two vinsic pads a single coil and a triple coil, as well as a Samsung EP-PG920II. The Vinsic triple coil pad works best. It charges a little slower than the two single coils, but I find it runs a LOT cooler with its only very slightly slower charge rate. IMHO of course, based on my observations with an LGV10 and a cheap Qi charge case-back.
