Wireless printer says not ready.

[Android Central Question]

I switched printers. Had an HP Envy and had no problems printing wirelessly from my Samsung Galaxy Tab A. So bought a wireless laser Canon Imageclass MF 230
And I can get it to print from my crappy old Emachine that takes Vista. Outdated I know, but can get it to print from that but not my Tablet. I loaded a plug in for Canon, but when you go to print it asks if you want to save a lousy PDF, when you insist on the Canon plug in, it says printer not ready. Any suggestions?
