Wireless tether 2.0.7 no longer working

It turns on fine but none of my devices will connect to it. I get a red box with an 'x' in it. I am running the Bamf 1.8.6 ROM.

Try wiping the application data and cache for wifi tether app. If that doesn't work try downloading barnacle wifi, it works just as well.

Not sure if you recently flashed a rom, but I always have to cycle 2.0.7 the first time I run it after flashing. Just start tether and then stop it, making sure to get the root permission popup. Works perfectly for me after that.

Not working for me as well. Computer connects but then get a DNS error. Also having data problems in North NJ

this has always fixed my issues and adding a phone restart

For some reason access-control was enabled. Don't know why because i never toggled it. Anywho...disabled it and presto! Working again.

I downloaded this program & it's not working. Please help.

Its saying not root. Sorry but your kernal doesn't have all necessary features for running this app. Then it says tethering showing errors. Then asked if rooted.

Do I need 2 download again??

I don't personally use that program, but just make sure you check the "mecha" (thunderbolt) profile in the settings and turn on the routing fix.

works fine for me. what ROM are you running? I've found that 2.0.7 works best on AOSP roms and the newer Wifi Tether 3 test 14+ works best for stock roms.

I don't personally use that program, but just make sure you check the "mecha" (thunderbolt) profile in the settings and turn on the routing fix.

Wifi Driver reload is another option that might help those having issues.
