Year to year iterations are typically minimal....that's really nothing new.

While I agree with you to a point .... I also disagree somewhat. What do "we" or "you" expect them to do from year to year? How much change can possibly be made on any of these phones whether foldable or not? We've reached full maturation of the tech on the outside. About the only thing that supposedly continues to improve is camera abilities that I feel are way better than most people even care about. The only thing lately that has interested me is new battery tech that might be coming soon.

I dont mind that, its already pretty deep. I think we are stuck in USA with zero improvements for a while now, when Asian market already has many devices with 1 inch sensors

Tbh, Samsung stopped caring about what the people want a long time ago. Note 4 was peak Samsung, and it's been nothing but downhill user experience and just look at the extra shiney since.

I think an integrated S Pen that can fit inside the phone like the Note/Ultra series would be a good improvement. I think Microsoft had some good ideas with its Duo series. Sadly, it seems to have abandoned the mobile market...again.

It's not like there are a lot of other real options. They do make the best of what's available, unfortunately. I make due without bowing to brother Samsung, but most people just gave up and buy what's available.

For phones in general or for foldables? There are plenty of options for the former and at three or four for the latter.

The lack of an S Pen slot and inferior camera compared to the S Ultra series is what's keeping me away from these fold devices.

Same here. The other downside is the S Pen for the Folds are not compatible on any other Samsung device.

You can use the spen for the fold only on the inner screen not the front cover is slight drawback also but I like foldable devices , when I first got into them starting with the Fold 3 I didn't know what to expect but now onboard since having Samsung Fold 3/4/5/now 6 also Google fold

Phones in general. Samsung and Apple both just kinda decided "this is the way it's gonna be" and everyone else followed suit. So no, there aren't really "tons of options". They're all the same junk wrapped up slightly differently.

Tons of people want nothing to do with what we've got now, but funny, we don't have a choice.

I hate these tall format phones, I want 16:9 formats back that actually fit in my pocket. Among many other design decisions that tons of people didn't want and don't have a choice in anymore.

I think more people would be willing to pay that if Samsung were to make the Fold series completely cross compatible with its Tab S series and S Ultra series and had an S Pen silo. By cross compatible, I mean a user could use his or her Tab S9 S Pen on the Fold and vice versa, just like I can with my Tab S9 and S24 Ultra. If Samsung did that, I would probably get a Fold.

The people I know with Folds are very happy with them though.

I agree, probably because the Fold pen is not Bluetooth and for the Fold inner screen
