Pixel 3 shuts off when I get a phone call

Try in safe mode , otherwise sound like battery needs replacement.

Welcome to Android Central! It actually powers down? Install Accubattery and check the Battery Health after a couple of charge cycles. If it's <85%, then the battery is significantly deteriorating.
