All of a sudden my Eris won't connect to my home Wi-Fi network. Actually, it connects, and even says it's signal strength is "Excellent" but no go as far as any website or gmail. Any ideas? The 3G Verizon network works fine.

Try resetting your router..mine does the same thing . Just unplug the router from the power source , wait about 15-30 seconds plug back in .

I fixed this on my phone today by applying a firmware upgrade to my Linksys WRT54G. The firmware upgrade specificallly addresses "picture phones", but it did the trick! My router was a hardware version 6, from about 2006. Makes all of my WiFi apps absolutely fly now, with no connection to the mobile network enabled.

JohnnyG, where did you get the firmware upgrade from? If you could throw me a link, that would be great!

Linksys by Cisco - WRT54G Support

I've had two youtube videos that said "cannot be played" since the upgrade. The rest, including speed to connect has been excellent. Be sure to check all of your settings on the router while your in there, especially "allow annonymous connect requests".

If you no longer have your support documentation, you will connect by typing the router IP address into a blank browser page, then you will need your password and passphrase.
