won't ring, lost all sound , I'm not in silent mode and is showing that everything is all at

Galaxy S4
No sound at all...
Phone will not ring
No notification sounds
No audio on videos of any kind
The only audio I have is that I can hear who I am talking to on the phone.
Audio just stopped even though audio is at "full blast" in all areas.
This is the second time I've lost audio for no apparent reason. The last time it happened, the audio finally, after a few days, magically came back...but not this time!
What in the world has happened and how do I fix it??

Had the same problem with an LG G3 and solved it. @belodion if you mean Settings -> Smart cleaning -> Temporary files -> clean it did not work. Calls and notifications were not making a sound or vibrating. Screen notifications worked - could see an incoming call. A simple restart did not help. **Power off, then power on fixed it**

I'm having the same problem with my brand new Moto X Pure.....it upgraded from lollipop to Marshmallow out of the box and now no bluetooth or sound. I'm doing a factory reset to see if that fixes it, that's what everybody's recommending.
