won't upgrade to GB freezes on htc boot-logo

i've searched and read but nothing. so here's my issue when i choose to update my phone it shutdowns, powers up but then freezes at the htc boot-logo. i've also tried doing a factory reset (hard reset) and same thing happens it freezes on the boot-logo. i've also uninstalled sprints protection app along with avg and nothing.... any ideas? :'(

Hello i dont know if you still need help but i had this same problem and it was very very frustrating. Luckily I was able to figure it out on my own after about a day and a half of trying everything under the sun. All you really need to do is perform an RUU to your phone, however its gonna delete everything, also you need to format your sd card to fat32. Then once you have your phone back to stock, perform a factory reset, and then try to push the update, I still had to do it twice but thats your only hope as far as I know. If you need any help doing those things go ahead and post here and I'll do whatever I can to help you out. Cheers!

Oh man thanks!! I'm gona give it a try today when I get home. Gona have to back up my sd. I had given up until I checked today.

up until this day i have not been able to update to GB. anyone have any solutions or ideas??? guess ill never get to miss out things my phone doesnt want in it...

Starting with the basics. ......are you rooted or unrooted? And what gb version are you trying to go to and what version you at now?

only thing that ive done is temp root through visionary. which whashes off when phone is rebooted. at this point im trying to upgrade to GB 2.76 which is the one sprint keeps pushing. right now im on 2.6.
