world edition?

There is no so-called world edition of any 4G phone. Personally, I don't expect one.

If you need a phone for outside US traveling I suggest just getting a prepaid. But if you have to have a global phone the HTC Incredible2 is a good choice. It is 3g but like I said it is a global device. Just give Verizon a call when you travel

If the spec list floating around is to be believed, the Motorola Droid 4 has LTE, CDMA, and GSM radios.

It's unclear but the screenshots are supposedly of an internal Verizon document which you wouldnt expect to mention GSM capability otherwise.

In any event, a world LTE phone should be a reality at some point. The next-gen Qualcomm chipsets and radios will have support for LTE, CDMA, and GSM. While most manufacturers will opt not to implement all the standards on a handset to save money, there is a market for a world phone that I expect someone will cater to.
