Would like help in getting back my voice data

Brand new poster here, but I've been reading and working with the valuable information provided over the past few weeks and really appreciate all the hard work that goes into development and updates here.

My question: I enjoy having my phone set to "speak" the caller ID when people call in rather than a ring tone. This worked fine on stock 2.1, but since then, I have installed 2.2, rooted and updated to the incredible TrulyEpic Rebirth 1.5. Once I installed 2.2, I couldn't get the spoken caller ID to work anymore...

For the most part everything seems to be working well so far except I can't seem to find a way to turn the TTS caller ID back on. I've tried to install speech synthesis, other TTS available on the market, and a third party voice caller ID app...none seem to work. Any help or hints here would be very appreciated.

Also, for dev of TrulyEpic Rebirth (or anyone else who knows for that matter) the Wifi Tether Widget and App integrated into that ROM only force close...any ideas on this? I know it's experimental...

Edit: This has been fixed. --> See thread

You can always uninstall the new version in the rom and goto the Wireless Tethering sticky here in this section of the forum and download the last version from there.

Great, thanks for the fix on the Tether. Downloaded, haven't tried yet.

Anyone have any suggestions on voice data? If I go into Settings > Voice input and output > Text-to-speech settings, under Default Settings, the "Install Voice data" is greyed out. Under it says Install voice data required for speech synthesis. I'm pretty sure I had to have this on my phone in order to get the "spoken" caller ID before. How do I get this to work again? Am I missing something somewhere?

Update...tried the new Tether. It works flawlessly. Far better than expected. Thanks to dev on this one!

Not too sure on the TTS caller ID. Something I've never used. Have you used it since upgrading to Froyo?

Yes, haven't been able to get it to work directly after update to Froyo. Gotta be a fix somewhere...

Not sure why your getting the Install voice data greyed out. I'm using TrulyEpic Rebirth v1.5 also and the option is available and when I click it I'm taken to the Market and it shows "Speech Synthesis Data Installer" as an option to download.

I've noticed this same issue on the stock froyo upgrade (EB13). Did the text to speech caller id feature just get removed?

I guess so, I was hoping EB13 would have the proper files to fix this, but apparently not. I'm using a third party app from the market to fix it, but the stock 2.1 files worked a lot better...I get stuttering and such from the app.
