Would like to root.. but am I too late?

i received the update to jb 4.1.1 yesterday.. is it too late to try to root?

Nope. Root, download VooDoo's OTA Root Keeper from the Play Store, backup root, take the OTA, than restore.

Edit: Oops, thought you said you HAD NOT updated yet.
