Would S7 Edge be a better buy than Note 7 if I want bigger screen than S7?

I currently have the S7, but I want a bigger screen and the bigger battery the S7 Edge offers. However I've had the Note 5 and Note 4 in the past which I liked. Of course I'd take a Note 7 but rumors are this might be very expensive like $900!!!! If I simply want a bigger screen and can do without the Spen which I didn't use a lot on the Note 5, would the S7 Edge be the better buy then?

I would love to have the Note 7 but possibly spending at least $900 on a phone is getting up there for me. I got the money but just the point of it, plus the prospects of cracking the screen. I could buy a really high end tablet easily with coin like that.

The S7 edge has better cases out like the Otterbox Defender, and generic Defender cases that are cheaper as well so there is better protection for it now.

You could wait till the Note 7 is out to actually decide if it's worth the money. At the very least the S7E will be cheaper then.

A bigger battery to power a bigger screen.. They both will property offset each other. Battery life will probably be slightly better if not equal to the S7 Edge.

So no, I'm not going to pay the premium to go from the S7 Edge to the Note 7

That is what I was thinking too. Btw the unlocked versions Samsung and best buy sell, does Wifi calling work with the S7 with major providers like Tmobile which I have? I might want unlocked so I don't have the bloatware that carrier phones have but if it doesn't work with wifi calling it's a no go for me. I've heard s6 doesn't work with wifi calling with ATT and Tmobile. Is this true?

The unlocked Galaxy S7 (9530 U) does have wifi calling with a T-Mobile SIM however wifi calling does NOT work with a Verizon SIM. I don't know about any of the other providers.

Good to know. I would assume the Note 7 would work with tmobile wifi calling too. Are the unlocked phones really that much better when it comes to performance due to not having bloatware like people state? I'm staying with Tmobile because I like their prices and I got cheap text plan due to being with them so long, but it's the bloatware I don't like from carrier phones.

So will you all be getting the Note 7 when it comes out or stick with the s7 edge?
