Would the EVO work on other (international) CDMA networks?

As the title says, would the EVO work on other CDMA networks if bought off without a contract?

As far as tech specs go, yes, it could run on other CDMA networks like Verizon.

Will Verizon let you do that? No.

I think China Unicom wouldn't complain though...
