Would you buy a 32 gb micro sd on ebay?

I am really tempted to buy a 32 gb micro sd for my x. Would anyone here consider buying one on ebay?

Well if they could make sure it is new, un-opened packaging, I might consider it. Then again, some items advertised as such arent. Like that poor little girl years ago that ordered a new, un-opened, in box ipod and got an iPod box, with a slab of raw meat inside instead. Make sure you really have use for it. I hear SD cards hate not being filled.

i second that....i bought one years ago(1gig for my xv6700) and it was a bogus card and wouldnt read or write correctly

Um, what??? Don't let my cards hear that! I have a 16GB card in my camera, it rarely gets more than 4GB on it before I dump it to my hard drive. Up until about 10 minutes ago, the 32GB card in my X had 12GB free.

The only time I've had a problem with a card was when the card was bad.

I bought a 16 GB card off ebay about a year ago and it was junk. Didn't work at all. Just get it from a legit source.

I would if it was SanDisk. I bought one last July. It's been fine.

Buy from a trusted seller, make sure the card is new, and make sure it a an OEM card from a well known manufacturer. Do NOT buy a generic. Kingston, PNY, Sandisk are about the top 3 sd card manufacturers.

You may also check out Amazon...I have been looking there and the deals have been better than what I have found on Ebay.

Got an ATT package off eBay last week. 32gb Sandisk card with USB adapter. Works great! I agree that you have to watch what you're bidding on, but I've gotten great buys on eBay with CF cards for my cameras and now for my phones. They've always been original and not rip off copies

Under NO circumstances should you buy an SD card from eBay even if the seller has 100% positive feedback, here's why: There are a rash of fake cards out there that have only 2gb capacity but are masked to look like they have 32 or 64gb. For example, if you buy one of these "64gb" cards, when you put the card in your device, it will read as if it has the full 64gb capacity. However, once it reaches the full 2gb, it will simply keep overwriting older files with new ones. You will have no idea this is happening until you try to retrieve a file that has been overwritten. For those that realize this, the sellers simply claim the disk must be defective and issue a full refund, no questions asked. That's why many of these scammers have 99 to 100% favorable ratings. I used one to create a recovery disk for my surface pro and it seemed to work great. After seeing some warnings on a forum, I downloaded a free program called FakeFlashTest and determined it only had 1.8gb of space (25% of what I needed to make a recovery disk). Fortunately, I discovered the error before I needed to use the disk. I feel sorry for the thousands of people who bought these to store photos or important files and won't find out for possibly years unitl they need those files and they're gone.
Bottom line, DO NOT trust any SD cards offered on Ebay, even if they seem to be a brand name.
