Would you like to see a replaceable battery option for the Gear S?

Maybe for the next generation? I think it would be super convenient to have a tiny spare battery in our pocket for those of us who are power users. For now, my Gear S barely lasts more than 4 hours each day after going to the gym for 1 hour with the music playing, and taking ten 5 minute phone calls through out the day with it. I have also researched other "wrist phones", none of them have the replaceable battery option either.

You are getting way low battery usage.

I suspect you are leaving the GPS on all the time, and perhaps HR?

As to your original question, I think the best answer would be some sort of wireless charging option where you could either use it as a wrist pad where you type (assuming a desk job) or wear a fitbit style battery band next to the watch that would charge it. The extension battery next to it with wireless charging features would avoid risking openings that could reduce the water resistance.

Thanks for your suggestion to save battery. I already have GPS unchecked, and I never used the HR feature. I suspect it's the quick drainage when music is being played and calls are made. That's the thing though, if we have a quick and easy battery swap, we wouldn't need to compromise the other features of the Watch. The wireless charging may be a good idea, but it limits our mobility, and the fit bit style battery...and even the existing wireless charging cradle are too cumbersome on top an already big Watch.

A spare battery is the quickest way to renew 8 hours, is there a faster way? Both batteries can be charged overnight, and the next morning you will have a pair of fresh ones. Hopefully engineering of the 2nd generation will make battery swapping quick and easy, almost like the phones.

A replaceable battery is a must have for me on a phone, but not an issue with my Gear S. Two days in most cases seems to be sufficient. But with just a little tweaking of the design, the included charger could serve the same function as a swappable battery. If the charger had a wrist hugging curve on the bottom instead of protruding, you could just loosen the strap a notch or two to allow the extra battery in the charger to keep you going if needed. Sure it would be a bit more cumbersome, but not a big deal in the rare emergency situation where it was needed.

We already have the replaceable battery in Gear S, it is called the charging dock. You can bring a couple of these things with you. Each can charge your watch for up to 50% without the need to plugin. The dock is designed to be wearable.

In order for the battery to be user replaceable, the watch structure will needs to be redesigned to allow a battery door and proper water seal. Which probably ended up like when you wear both the watch and dock.

I would much rather see a generic charger. These proprietary chargers are ridiculous. We should be able to plug it into any USB cable.
