WOW 8hr 39min at 100% battery

Well I did a bump charge this morning on my Rooted Optimus S and it lasted 8hr 39min according to the battery status before it drop down to 99% and that was with a few calls, a couple of texts and a couple of web searches! I think that is amazing!

what stepped did you take to achieve these results? i believe u because ive gone 3days with out having to charge but ive never stayed @ 100% after 8hrs

I charged it over night (phone on), then when i got up in the morning i turned off phone upluged the charger, and then repluged charger, with phone still off waited until battery meter stayed steady green(about 5-10min), full charge. Unplug phone, repluged phone watched battery metter again until steady green (about 5 min). Then turn phone back on and bam over 8 hours of 100%.

Now i would not recommend doing this every single time either

It is now 16 hrs 18 min @about since doing bump charge, and a long phone call with sister (about 30 min) am at 88%

thanks for the info, i did some research on this and it sounded great until i heard u have to do this EVERY single time u charge your phone to achieve the longer battery life lol, still a nice trick though

somebody gotta figure out this hack and install it in a rom or something lol

i think everyone should read that article when i was i done i reached for my charger right away and will probably do so from now on every time I'm sitting at my computer.

I get about 14-16 hours a day on a full charge, and that's heavy texting, about a dozen phone calls, and plenty of listening to music from my SD card, or Audiogalaxy. I'm amazed myself trust me.

Keeping the battery constantly topped up can stress the li-ion cells. I usually wait until it runs down to 30% before recharging, unless I know that I will be away from power, then will charge it sooner.

If you know you'll also be away from power for a long time, this unplug/replug technique can help with battery power, but it could shorten the overall battery life.

But then again, with new OEM Optimus batteries going for $13.50 on ebay, the battery life could be a non-issue. Just change the battery whenever the capacity drops a lot.

Anyway, my comments are a little OCDish and the replug method, in the grand scheme all things considered, is probably OK.

My battery was at 150% after 48 hours so I had to use it to power other things in my house.

Yea i call B.S. because at 15hrs my battery is at 18% something maybe wrong with your battery indicator or something
