Wow. Alot of issues with ICS update

Yeah, sorry for the delayed response. I am on the newest and have worked out some of my kinks. Apparently I tweaked more than I thought I did before. Still do not have the haptic feedback down right but I can live with until Wednesday night... Ty for the reply

I was excited about the ICS update, but also a little hessitant to udate after some of the responses. I checked on my phone and the update was available and bit the bullet and updated. I am glad I did so far (about 2 days). The phone feels like it runs faster and has better battery life (still not awesome but better). Only a couple minor issues like having to reset custom ringtones and notifications (no problem though) and had to reinstall my yahoo email account (old one was there but not downloading new emails, settings looked correct, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the yahoo account and all is well). I did not need to do a factory reset, my phone worked well before the update and even better after. I'm still learning all the new shortcuts with ICS and am very happy I updated.

So I'm assuming your not using Swiftkey? This seems to be a problem right now.

There don't seem to be any issues with ICS itself. It seems to be exclusively a Swiftkey X issue with Chrome on my end. I have encountered zero other issues. Phone boots faster, switches apps quicker with screen fades in and out making it appear smoother, and the screen itself appears crisper overall. I would be hesitant to leave this build.

I just got another email back from SwiftKey and was told that it is only with Chrome. Can someone confirm that SwiftKey works with all other browsers and Text/email.

I have the Chrome-SwiftKey issue. I have no problem with Dolphin or stock browser

I have Swiftkey loaded on an ICS tablet (Acer A500) and have no problems with it there. Had not noticed with Chrome (I have it installed but don't often use it). Cannot speak to the issue on the Rezound, as I use Swipe on that.

Just got another email from swiftkey and was told they are working on a fix for Chrome and will push the update very soon.

I had nothing on the phone except email so I didn't do a factory reset. I just got the phone from vetizon. Replaced the bolt with certified rezound

Swiftkey issue is isolated to chrome. All other text input works just as before. I have no qualms with the stock browser as is, just like the concept behind chrome and the carry over of search history onto my desktop or tablet when I get home.

I'm running the Passion ICS rom and while I have had the SwiftkeyX/Chrome issue, I'm also getting a recurring problem where I'm typing into the Google search box on the homescreen and it seems to stop or crash repeatedly, just sending me back out after I type a few characters.

I'm not sure if it's a SwiftkeyX issue or not. I almost expect to have to type a search 3 times before it sticks. Aggravating.

Hopefully the update from SwiftKey will fix that to.

I have to say, I installed the .10 leak and there were a few minor bugs for me and some slow animations..

the .12 is better for me than the .10

.12 it fixed a lot of issues.

I'm still on GB and I think I'm going to wait til SwiftKey fixes this issue before I update to ICS. As a FYI all phones with SwiftKey and ICS are having this problem.

i was wondering what is the best back-up app for a non-rooted [hone? do any of them back up everything from wallpapers, to app folders and home screen set up? i don't think i have any major issues after the ICS update, but a couple things seem a bit buggy, so was thinking about factory reset, but hate going through getting everything back to the way i have and and am used to it.

Honesty from what people are saying a full reset will fix most all issues. That being said I personally would just reinstall all apps one at a time.
