I bet HTC has to be pissed about this. Yesterday Verizon announced the Incredible 4G to launch on the 5th and today they announce the Galaxy S3 to launch on the 10th with pre-orders shipping immediately. Wow talk about being treated like a b*tch....

I'm more of an HTC man myself, but.........… they didn't allow pre orders on the Dinc4G and the screen was a lil' too tiny for me. Oh well, such is life.

Now gimme my SG3 and nobody gets hurt!

HTC got the same kind of treatment when the Galaxy Nexus and Rezound came out! Though I went with the Rezound and glad I did The Galaxy Nexus was definitely getting more attention! Though now I am going for the Samsung product LOL

for a lower end phone, it's got decent specs. similar s4 krait that's in the s3 and hox, but clocked slightly lower at 1.2. But the s3 comes in at $200, so i think it'd be better if the dinc 4g came in around $100, or perhaps $50. If it was sold at $50 on contract, i bet it would be a hot seller for those who like smaller phones.

The DINC 4G im sure will do VERY well in sells since its not an expensive phone. Now if this were an One X release id feel bad for Samsung.

I don't feel bad for them. They're really running the Incredible brand into the ground, even though the Inc4G will probably be a decent phone. I'm still using the original Incredible, and I remember when I got it, it was THE top phone. Now Verizon takes HTC's second-tier phone and puts that same name on it?

I'm only just now moving into the 4G world, and that's because the Incredible was such a great device, anything else on Verizon (or anywhere, really) seemed like a lateral move from it. That's what I expected of the next Inc, and I didn't get it.

I agree, but I dropped it a couple months ago and although the screen was the only damage at the time (and was still usable) I have noticed that my speaker is slowly going and I can hardly hear ppl anymore. I just couldnt accept paying $99 for a used replacement and have an upgrade on another line.

I just checked out the Inc4G and it looks EXACTLY like the Rezound only smaller! lol

I don't really see how $150 is a competitive selling price given that the s3 is only $200. If the s3 was $300, sure, it would make more sense. the s3 is better in almost every regard.

Code:
Samsung S3 HTC Droid Inc 4G
CPU Class Snapdragon S4 Snapdragon S4
CPU Speed 1.5 1.2
Thickness 9mm 11mm
Memory 2GB 1GB
Int. Mem. 16gb 8gb
Display 4.8" HD 4.0" qHD
Display Area 9.8in2 6.8in2
Pixel Density 305ppi 275ppi
Battery 2100mah 1700mah

That is my only grip about HTC and their phones on Verizon. They are so big....the Rezound is so much thicker then it needs to be!

and a smaller battery. the dinc 4glte has a 1700mah battery. it has an extended 2150mah battery, but it's got a big hump for not a huge increase in capacity.

I'm still holding my breath on that for my wife's rezound. Seems like it's become VZW's red headed stepchild.

There are lots of those.

The timing might not be that bad for the Incredible. As people walk into the store, some may be turned off by the size or price of the SIII and opt for the Incredible instead.

That's how I ended up with this Droid Incredible. I just liked the form factor of it so much more than the more powerful phones with larger screens.

I do have an S3 on pre-order but will be highly interested in handling an Inc 4G in the store. Will I be swapping the S3 for the Inc 4G? In all honesty, I doubt it. I checked out a working S3 in a T-Mobile store and was blown away by the performance and screen of it.
