Wow, the TV.com app works with HDMI output!

App developers are able to access HDMI, they just have to put a few lines of code in their apps. Just suggest it to the developers.

But if they do not put in these few lines of code, there app cannot display out the HDMI? Why woulnd't Google just make that code be standard?

I agree with you, but the the Andoird OS 1.0 came out, no one really was thinking of HDMI as a priority. It's now that the phone is so feature packed that we can start taking advantage of the more luxury features.

It's good to know what the device is capable of, or not capable of. I love these kind of threads that inform us about our device. There is some wow factor here as well. It's pretty cool to be able to watch streaming TV content on your phone and then pipe it back our to your TV. I wasn't going to install this app, but I think I will now. Thanks!
