I had to go ahead and post a light-hearted thread regarding this. I was in line at Subway yesterday and was texting while I was waiting. The guy behind me said, "What kind of phone is that?" and I told him it was an Evo and he said, "Wow, that screen is massive".

I've never been so proud.

haha. :)

Thats great lol I had same reaction from some coworkers. One actually liked the size and speed of phone he got one the next day lol.

IT IS TOO BIG.....UNTIL YOU OWN ONE FOR A WEEK! Now, I am a DJ and do have to put mine on Dim in the club though!

"why thank you sir" would be my response :D

haha, it was mine as well. He said it in a way that said he was impressed, so I took it as a compliment. Even though I'm a girl, it made me feel pretty manly. I guess I get why guys like big trucks now ;)

Sadly though, I wish more people knew about the phone.
I blame HTC... because they release phones with new names all the time...

They need to make a series or a line of smartphones.
Like the next one should be HTC Evo 2 or something... because with a new name every device they make... here's the question EVERYONE gets:

"Is it like the Iphone?"

Just tell them it prints money...

Grants you 3 wishes one being a new Iphone... :p

Something Ive been wondering about lately, does the EVO signal the start of a new class of smartphones? Stricly due to its size? Like a "Deluxe Smartphone?" What I mean is, the EVO was the first phone I can think of with a screen of 4.3", now we have the Droid X coming out with the same size screen, yet motorola is also keeping its original Droid line going with the smaller Droid2. So maybe we will see it more now in the near future with more companies making "Deluxe Smartphones" to complement their smaller offerings. Basically we might have traditional smartphones in the 3.5" and smaller category {Iphone, Droid, etc} and the new class of deluxe phones {Evo,Droid X, whatever will come out in the near future} with screen sizes in the 4" and up territory.

i have honestly never had some one comment on the size of the phone but i did have a bar tender snag it up off the bar in front of me amazed at the sight of a kickstand on the phone.. she couldnt believe it.. i was a little pissed because she caused me to lose a hand of poker i was playing haha
