Wrong name right number

Well, about a week ago a friend of mine texted me and asked if I knew someone, which I don't. I asked why, he said that when I call or text him that other person's name shows up. Wrong name but right number, have no idea why, but all my other contacts get the right name and number. Now the really odd thing happened, about 2 days ago he gets a call from my #, wrong name, but, it wasn't me, it was that other person's name, they asked if he just called them, he didn't, but the call came from .com address, but still showed up my # and wrong name. When I call my #, I just get my voicemail. My friend also said that if he dials the original # for me in his phone or texts he gets no response, but using the one with wwrongnamw gets through to me. I haven't done anything to my phone or account. Does anyone have any idea why this happened and how it can be fixed? It's just one of my contacts everyone else normal. Is this other person getting our texts too and listening to our phone calls? Like I said it started about a week ago. I haven't received any strange texts, phone calls, or emails.

Names are generally associated based on the recipient's address book / Contacts.

More than likely, your friend somehow created a Contacts entry that associates your name with that phone number; tell him to check his Contacts.
