I posted this at the Precentral market, so I figure I'd post it here too. Since it's relevant.

Alright so here goes.

I'm going to end up getting a corporate phone, and I picked a Droid. Now I'm not quite willing to get rid of my line thanks to the ETF on Verizon, so essentially I'll have two Droids.

My personal Droid is in mint condition. There are no blemishes, scratches, dents, or anything wrong with the device. Currently the device is rooted and loaded with a custom ROM called "Bugless Beauty" version .8. However, I can put it back to stock rather effortlessly. AllDroid - View topic - [ROM] Bugless Beauty (Completely Stable) Version 0.8

Should have listed accessories too, comes with:
Two wall chargers, a car dock, multimedia dock, and some screen protectors.

This device is perfectly functional. Nothing wrong, no defects, the speaker is loud (and I mean seriously loud). For reals, it's perfect, as far as how a Droid is suppose to be. Aside from having the plastic tabs removed it looks fresh out of an unboxing. I will very soon be posting some pics, my camera is sorta having issues, so probably tomorrow.

What I'm interested in for trade: a mint or lightly worn Palm Pre. No cracks or scratches, the USB door doesn't have to be in perfect condition either since I know it's a flimsy chintzy thing. I'm also interested in trading plans, if you're on Sprint and are willing to swap plans. This would get you a Droid for your Pre, and you'd take over my line while I take over your Sprint line. This is a kosher thing to do that doesn't result in ETF's, there are websites that cater to this actually, Cellswapper.com - Cellswapper.com - Get out of your Cell Phone-Mobile-Wireless Contract and Celltrade, America's Online Cellular Exchange Place In fact I'd consider using those, but I'm interested in a more specific thing

Straight up, you'd be paying slightly more. My plan is currently a Nationwide Select plan w/450 minutes, and an unlimited data plan tacked onto it. The bottom line is that it comes with unlimited text/data but not navigation, for $90/mo, and in my case an extra 8 bucks for surcharges/gubment charges. The upside is that Droid obviously does not need a navigation package thanks to the illustrious Google Navigation app The other upside is that VZ's network RULES. My current contract is somewhat new, I started it on 11/16/09 and it's a 24 mo contract.

We can talk cash incentives, but that depends on how many bites I get ;)

If you're wanting to get a Droid on the cheap and it's time for your upgrade and you're a VZ customer, pick yourself up a Pre Plus and we can do a straight swap across too.

I'm only interested in doing this because I have a company Droid now, and I can have all the rooting fun I want with it. I still have a soft spot for the Pre though, and if someone's got a working Pre, I'd be very interested. I tried to get a working Pre last June and it was just not happening. So, anyone interested?

Sorry to Chime in, but I left my droid for a Pre a week ago and couldnt be happier. The Droid is still a nice phone, but the Pre is sweet and is perfect for my use. Just thought Id let you all know since you are making a possible switch.

I'm actually experimenting, so far, I'll likely sell this Pre off and just cancel my line, sticking with my corporate Droid.

I'm not impressed.

@ ardoreal

Just out of curiousity what didn't you like about the Pre? I have had two Pres through Sprint and keep bouncing between Android (Hero/Moment) and WebOS. I like the simplicity of the Pre but the customization and foothold of Android has me stuck. Besides my Pres couldn't hold a signal anywhere my Hero or Moments could.

It has almost all the same issues my old Pre had on Sprint sans the dead pixels. I have a network extender and its still killing itself trying to get a signal. I hate the cheap feel, I hate the way it looks, I'm getting rid of this thing.
