Nexus Root Toolkit v1.8.0 | WugFreshNexus Root Toolkit v1.8.0 | WugFresh
Nexus Root Toolkit v1.7.1
VERSION 1.7.1 - This program will automatically bring together all the files you need to unlock and root your device in a few clicks, or flash it back to stock and re-lock it. You can also use this program to backup/restore all your important data, flash zips, set file permissions, push and pull files, install apps, generate logcats/bugreports, and much more! With the included file association options, you can perform tasks like flashing zips, installing apps, restoring android backup files, and flashing/booting img files with just a double click! The program includes a full featured interface for automating tasks in TWRP, enhanced restore features, an in-built auto-updater/notification system, ‘any build’ mode, logcat/bugreport generation, advanced restore features, and quick tools utilities. All the latest Android builds and Nexus devices are now officially supported including the new Nexus 7 v2 (2013) variants, with full 4.3.0 support. The program intelligently and selectively downloads the files it needs for your device and makes sure you are using the latest files available. The main changes in this release are general code fixes and optimizations. Check out the updated changelog for a more comprehensive breakdown of the feature set in this release.

Re: NEW- WugFresh One click root toolkit

I edited this due to finding out I messed up and WugFresh didn't,

I did not set up WugFresh for my exact device, be very careful you select the correct device type first and for most and then the exact OS version you need. I suggest go here to decide what version for Nexus you need first, https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images

My mistake was I clicked on the original Nexus 7 and not the 2nd Gen, therefore I selected the incorrect os version. If you confirm the version first then you may see you made the wrong device choice up front.

The NRT will install drivers...did you try that? You can also get the Google SDK which supplies ADB drivers.

Hey! This is fairly common! One thing to try is another USB cable sometimes it won't recognize it. Another thing to try is to uninstall all previous drivers and start from scratch in NRT 1.7.9 (:

Sorry such a late response but did it work?

Re: NEW- WugFresh One click root toolkit

Quick question. If I use this tool kit to root and only root will I lose all of my storage on my nexus 7 2013?

Sorry for taking so long!! But you have the option to back up all data inside the toolkit. To answer your question yes it does wipe all data.

Its all good. I was hoping for a root method sans the wipe I don't care about my apps but my wife has a slew of apps on her profile and wouldn't be happy to have to get everything all over again.

I head of a method for grouper and hoped a similar method was available for flo

Re: NEW- WugFresh One click root toolkit

I'll chime in on this one point. I tried absolutely everything to get my Nexus 7-2 to show up on my PC, including upgrading from XP to Win 7. Nothing worked until finally as a last resort, I tried a different USB cable, even though the one I was using worked with my Moto X and everything else. Well, that was it. N7 immediatey recognized and the toolkit worked flawlessly. I'm rooted and beyond all with Wugfresh, and this was my first time rooting anything.

Every post I read had me calling BS on the idea of another USB cable making the difference. Folks, try that FIRST. I should have.
