X on the screen??

Have had the GN7 for about a week or so. Been working fine. Have a few aps for banking, social etc...Used it for an alarm 2 nights ago and after the alarm sounded, I could not get it to stop. Then the screen blanked an I got a rainbow pulsing X. A few seconds later it came up like normal. Last night, I'm watching a movie on it, and the movie stopped, the X appeared and then the home page came up - I did notice it say something about download this time on the upper left. It did it again this am, reading the news. Prior to 2 nights ago it had never done it.

What is going on with my Nexus? Ideas how to correct?

I'd take it back and get a new one.

It is rebooting on you. Since it is only a week old I would take it back as well.

See if you can get it on long enough to do an update, It seems like it's randomly rebooting. The latest update should be able to address is. If you get it on long enough, go into your About Tablet section and see which build version you are on.

I did a factory reset then I did the cache clear I read about. Hasn't done the reboot since. Although the alarm clock sound still does not turn off when I turn the slider to off. Have to power off the tablet
