Xbox tether help!!!!

Ok i just rooted my dx 2.2
1st i tried using wireless tether and it says i dont have the right kernal my xbox sees it anyway but the signal bars are gray and wont connect (wont connect to my pc either 64bit running vista)

2nd i tried barnacle i could connect to my pc but have the same problem with the gray signal bars

3rd i tried pdanet using tutorial YouTube - How to Tether Your Android Phone to Connect to Xbox Live (PC+Wired) from huskermania. I checked and rechecked it to male sure everything is correct. But it to will not connect to my network and says it cannot use static ip's and suggests i use automatic which also doesnt work

Ive tried my 3g hotspot before all this but it wouldnt connect to the internet if that means ne thing idk

If some1 can figure out what im doing wrong or just help me connect to xbl will b greatly apperciateed. Thanx in advanced!

What is the build of your 360? Big or slim one? I have a slim at the house that I can use to troubleshoot with. Will be sometime later this evening though.

Thanx im really stumped. From my research these problems have been reported other places but i have yet to find a solution for any of them.

I was able to connect to xbox live and play a game of COD without rooting! go figure.

Once I saw my droid as a network i hit accept and it worked. didnt play long thought because i wasnt sure of how much data i was using...hope you get it working

have you rebooted your phone


the first time I tried to use wireless tether, I couldn't get it to work. Then the next day (after I think I rebooted) it worked fine and has been fine since. No idea why it didn't work initially.

Ive tried uninstall reinstall of all of them and rebooting with the same results.

Ok, so I got it partially working using WiFi Tether however, it's throwing a NAT error (won't let you accept game invites/join party) and I can't seem to find a way to disable NAT on the phone.

Unplugged ethernet cable from back of Xbox first. This will make the console default to a wireless connection.
Went into connection settings on Xbox. Set everything to automatic.
Within Wifi Tether, set access to "all clients".
Upon tapping start tether in Wifi Tether, it instantly picked up the Xbox Console. Ran a Xbox Live test and kept getting the NAT error.

Haven't tried any other tether programs as of yet. Still looking into other apps that will possibly give some NAT options.

Tell me some info about your home network if you don't mind. Are you running wired/wireless mix? Running a router? What method did you use to attempt to connect the Xbox to your pc? Wireless as well?

its all thru my verison droid x 2.2. The barnacle and wireless tether are thru the marketplace. So ive tried all wireless and if youve watched the video of the pdanet i did it the exact same way

when u started wifi tether did it say you need the proper kernel? Are you attempting this from a droid x?

It never said anything about a kernal on my end and yes this is on a Droid X. Rooted w/ stock rom.

The only way I can seem to get mine to work is using Easy Tether and a laptop.

Use Easy Tether to get the laptop online. Under connection pref's in network settings check allow other users to connect through this device.

On the xbox, go to network selection and you should see your new connection ready and waiting.
