Xionia Goodies (Optimus V Edition)

Here is your official Xionia Port xD

Note: I do not have an Optimus V to test with. However the only difference in the entire kernel source is swapped home/menu keys and a different backlight driver. I'm 99% confident these will work as they do on the Optimus S but nothing is guaranteed. I take no responsibility for any damages. Nandroid backups are encouraged.

Kernel

• Kernel Only Edition (retain your initrd)
• Kernel S Edition (your kernel, our ramdisk)
• Xionia + VM Stock initrd (thanks takehull)
• CM7 Edition (for use with Optimus S CM7, still unofficial, please don't report bugs on our issue tracker unless you know it is not Optimus V only)

Xionia CWMA

• v1.2518.4 Virgin Edition (New archive, with CWMA ramdisk not GNM 1.1.0 )

Virgin Edition of CWMA just flashes an older version of the Thunderc recovery. V 1.1.0 vs 1.2.0 that was made by getitnowmarketing a while ago.

Sort of disappointed.. I was looking forward to CWMA. Might just flash the S version.

I wasn't clear. That was my expectation too and I had the same result as you.

And now after flashing this, I can't flash the kernel from recovery. :/

It gives me:

E:No zip files found

Just flash the other recovery and you'll be able to. That is what I did.

I flashed just the kernel but it killed Wifi, unfortunately.

I don't understand the differences between the kernels here, and especially the differences between "Kernel Only Edition" & "Kernel S Edition"

Can someone explain some more? Thanks

EDIT: i flashed this 3 kernels on my V with recovery v1.2518.4 Virgin Edition:
# Kernel Only Edition
# Kernel S Edition
# Xionia + VM Stock initrd

And these 3 kernel had the home and settings key inversed

Yeah the clockwork recovery i'snt the clockwork recovery, its the standard 1.1 GNM recovery.

Make sure you mount system prior to flashing the kernels or it will kill wifi since it can't flash the replacement wifi module.

i can also verify these have the button swapped and the accelerometer doesn't work keep up the great work though!

Wifi gets killed even after mounting system.

I do see the broken accelerometer, but my menu and home keys work as they should.

How to Install
Most custom recovery (if not all, including mine) have a bug with the CM7 nighty's that does not properly wipe /system.
This can leave leftover files that we had removed, which can cause trouble with the new files.
THEREFORE please use the following method to flash each new NIGHTLY:
1) Flash FormatSYSTEM.zip
2) Then flash the current NIGHTLY
3) flash xionia_kernel_008_virgin_bootimg_cyanogen.zip
4) Then flash Google Apps
5) reboot
