Monday night, my phone battery was around 14% and the phone went off. Plugged in and after booting up, the phone showed charging at 1%. Didn't give it much thought after that. Just now, my battery was around 35% and the phone went off. Plugged in and it shows charging at 1%. I even have the battery graph from the settings showing the sudden drop. Called Google and of course they want to blame my apps so here I sit in Safe Mode.

I always charge to 100% and then do not plug in until phone dies.

Anyone else with these issues post the 12/5 7.1.1 update?

Google will have you do some testing (as you mentioned) and replace if needed if the testing doesn't show to be right. I wouldn't use your phones from 100% to 0% all the time -- that isn't the best for the battery.

It mainly sounds like your battery may be messed up. I would be looking to replace/exchange.

Agreed. Killing your battery everyday is a guaranteed way to have poor battery life way before you should.

There is a reason why phones tend to power off at 5% or so left. Battery cells tend to go bad if they get below a certain voltage point. The battery materials tend break down as you charge it back up.

So yeah my cut off is around 10%, earlier if I can.
