I was wondering what accessories everyone thought they would be getting on launch day? And if anyone had any experience with the bluetooth keyboard and if anyone thinks it is worth getting.

Let me say this be fore I get blasted. I will primarily use this for games emails and multimedia. I Plan on using it for work were I am am general contractor. So for notes and maybe to right up a quote or 2 and/or to mod a quote or 2 while at the job site so I can email my customers with the updates. I am thinking to go back to school and so I will need it to take notes while in school however. But no I dont plan on writing any novels with the Xoom...

I ordered the 'Folio' Carrying case or whatever its called. Looked pretty cool.

Considering this is a brand new product I dont think anyone has any experience with it. I will buy the case andthats it for now

I'll probably just get the portfolio case for now. I already have a extra Apple bluetooth keyboard and will use that.

Probably the speaker dock, but not on launch day. Ill find it cheaper online a few weeks after.

I just wish Motorola would make the accessories available for purchase on their site already.

I'm definitely getting the folio case, but maybe the standard dock (already have a Motorola EQ7 speaker) and keyboard at launch too. I hope the folio case also folds flat. The only pictures show the tablet propped up, but I would imagine that it's also able to lay down (face up) for use.

I like the portfolio case, but would like to get my hands on one to see how thick it is. It almost looks like it might be so protective of the Xoom that it makes the thing so thick that it is difficult to carry for travel on flights, in my laptop bag with the other crap I have all the time.

I hope I am wrong because it looks awesome for so many uses with the different angles of support and pass-through to the ports for everything.

Rumor from my Best Buy (and they claim every Best Buy) is that shipments of all accessories have been delayed to the 25th, or possibly next week. Meaning you can pick up your XOOM on Thursday, but not the accessories.

Looks like it does fold flat. The Amazon site for it has nice close up pics of it, one of them has it flat (face up). You should be good to go.

Oops, looks like the is entire thread on the matter here as well.

Verizon has them.

One of my local Best Buy stores shows the Folio in stock so I just placed on online order for in-store pick-up. Planning on getting it tomorrow (Wed) so I'll have it when I get my Xoom on Thursday.

In January I purchased Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 for $17 after rebate from Staples.

I did a write up already in the post about costco. But since I asked what accessories everyone else is getting I figured I would add my 2 cents and tell everyone what I decided to pick up.

First off I go to see the docking station without speakers. It is a small block that looked very tall. I was not sure how stable it would be but it seemed to do its job. it has the pins for charging and connections for usb and for hdmi in it. never got a chance to realy play with it. I did not get it for my X I dont think I will be getting for the Xoom either.

On to the keyboard. I saw it and played with it and it is ok. it seemed a little plastic feeling to me and I am not sure I like the idea that it runs off 2 AA batteries. I will say on a positive note it worked several feet away from the Xoom so that made it nice. I think I am going to at least try this one and see what I think of it and how much I really will use it.

Now the all important Portfolio case. This case looks nice on the Xoom. It looks like it should offer some decent protection. The inside is foam if you have seen the pictures. The one thing I am a little worried about is were the back side bends to create the stand it has two tabs on each side that keep it connected so the Xoom stays tight. However I am worried that those tabs will eventually rub and create a shinny spot on each side of the Xoom. Probably not a big deal but you need to decide how you take care of your stuff and what you want it to look like. also the front face or latching part I was expecting some sort of spring loaded lock it is just another rubber hook that slips over the side of your Xoom. Again a possible shinny spot. With all that I think it offers good protection and will be picking one up and try it when I get my Xoom.
