My wife has a Xoom tablet (Jeely Bean 4.2) that we had with us on a recent trip though new England. We were able to pull up usefull maps on it for the trip, but of course , were limited in how much info we could get on real time traffic. I have an Iphone that could get real time traffic on it, so we sort of cobbled together our route from both. (We both hate GPS's for a number of reasons, so while that might seem to be a solution, for us, it isn't)
So, I had a thought. If we were to have an android phone with us, is there some means to use the phone to supply the tablet with real time traffic data?

So basically, you want to feed your Andtoid tablet with data from an iPhone? I believe the answer is no. You are not only dealing with 2 different devices, you are also dealing with 2 different operating systems. Sorry.

The phone has a data connection, right? Just set up WiFi tethering, the tablet can access the intern via the phone, then fire up Google Maps.

He does not want to use Google maps. He just wants to capture the IO traffic feeds.
