XOOM Display Question

Hello,

I have a question for XOOM users here....

I'm currently building a project that calls for a 7-10 inch display that would be running VGA off of my laptop. Rather than drop $300-$400 on a small field display that I would never use again, I hit on the idea of using a XOOM tablet to do it.

However, the only apps I'm seeing that would "kind of" do that would be iDisplay and some of the other remote desktop sharing apps that are available on the Market.

Does anyone know if there is anything out there that would let me screen share / port and view VGA on the XOOM using a wired connection? The WIFI setup where the project is going to be displayed is ass, and there's no way I'm going to be able to run a flash animation over iDisplay.

Thanks in advance!

Viva la Android!

;)

Yeah I'm just worried about how well splashtop will work over a slow connection, though.

Ah, well.

I guess I'll just go get a 10-inch LCD. I was looking for an excuse to go get myself a XOOM tonight. =)

They do, actually. But that would only work XOOM to LCD, right? Not LCD / Laptop to XOOM?

My brain hurts.

The HDMI on the Xoom is an output, VGA to mini HDMI wouldn't help. There isn't a wired input to the Xoom, you'd have to do it over wifi.
