Xoom Ethernet Port Workaround

I will be traveling out of the country in a couple months and I was told the area I am going to has only a couple of options for internet access:

1. Wireless 3G via a USB dongle
2. Access via a traditional ethernet cable.

Can anyone suggest some workarounds. I really don't want to have to lug a laptop and would prefer to take my Xoom.

Buy yourself a portable wireless access point. It will plug into the Ethernet cable and then you can connect as many devices to it wirelessly.

take a wifi router with you and hook it up to the ethernet port and then connect the xoom via wifi.
