We all knew it was going to happen but here is the official news on Verizon's own website. it has been updated with a date. Still does not list a price just yet nor can you seem to purchase it but considering I was officially told they did not have a date less than 8 hours ago by a Verizon store its a step in the right direction...

I swear man it's always something but what the hell is this supposed to mean:

1GHz Dual Core Processor and fully Flash Enabled* for video-rich web.

*Adobe Flash expected Spring 2011

It says this in really small print under the email registration box

I sure hope this is a mistake

Yeah, I just saw this. That is effing nuts. Flash has been available since Froyo. This is ridiculous. I better be able to install Flash from the Market on Thursday. I mean, that should work, right? Especially if I install something like Dolphin Browser which detects Flash as a plug-in.

I just can't see why 10.1 wouldn't work on the Xoom. I know it works fine on other Tegra 2 devices and I would think that the processor compatibility is the most important part. But I fear that Honeycomb changes things in a way that creates a non-compatibility with flash 10.1.

I could have sworn I had seen a video of the Xoom running flash, but I've scoured the youtubes with no luck so far.

Well at the end of the day the issue is the tegra prodcessor and the way it runs on honeycomb..if it can run 10.1 then we should be fine. if it can't, we're screwed and it's back to waiting for Flash the way we did before adobe launched it on Android. I could not care less about 10.2...I want 10.1 out of the box.

They've been advertising Flash 10.1 since that first CES video, haven't they?

Yes! I just checked the video and it says Flash 10.1, specifically. Maybe we have hope, yet.

Well Engadget has run this story so we should be hearing something soon. Surely Moto will comment and straighten this out one way or the other.

I am not expecting any comments from Moto on this anytime soon. They have been silent thru this entire fiasco (launch), so why would they address this issue but not the others?

I know man you might be right...they could very easily make us wait until it launches to find out. I agree this has been a huge fiasco. I've seen a lot of launches(as have most of us who hang out at sites such as this) and I've never seen anything quite like it.

Motorola basically won Best of CES with the Xoom and then went into their bunker and never came out :D

I'm still holding out hope that this is all a big misunderstanding and that either the text on the Verizon site is old and should not have been added, or that it is in reference to Flash 10.2 and that 10.1 will run fine.

When I saw this news today I was like WTH, if I would have known yesterday I might not have pre- paid. Now that I see 10.1 should still work I am ok with waiting for 10.2, now I just need to wait till Thursday.

I want a 100% working Flash, anything else and what's the point? But I am already in the wait boat, so I will let people who go first work out the bugs.

Hopefully there will be some demo units in-store tomorrow. I'll be heading in and the first thing I'll test is the browser and if Flash 10.1 can be installed. According to ALL of the reps in the demo videos, Flash 10.1 works on it.

I just called my local Verizon Wireless store, the lady I spoke with said I'd be able to buy it out right with no plan, she wasn't sure when she was getting them in on Thursday but took my name & number and said someone will call me to talk to me about it.

I guess we'll see.
