Just saw it on TV. Pretty good even if its an idea that has been played out before. I am looking forward to seeing it in person.

IMHO, the Verizon iPhone commercial was MUCH better. It made the iPhone look sexy and desirable to the average person. I'm not sure the average person would even understand the XOOM commercial. Motorola just wasted a million bucks on air time.

Iphone is a well established product with 4+ years of A+ level marketing behind it. It has an official release date, pricing, and data plans.

The Xoom is the first product of it's kind, that's not using any previous branding (droid). It doesn't have a release date, doesn't have pricing or data plan info, and practically no one knows about it.

I'm still sticking that this is a teaser trailer, like the original DroidDoes commercial was. It shows you nothing, but it's a base they'll build on.

Amen to the faithful! The logic is solid. I really hope it's true.

They should of done more, it wasn't that impressive overall. It didn't keep up with the hype of their tablet history teaser.

For all the other people who watched that commercial they are probably saying "I thought Apple made the iPad?" - It didn't show off nearly enough features, the video creation stuff was cool but unless you were looking for the story in this commercial it just kind of passed you by.

The Sony / Android commercial was awesome.

I have been setting my wife up for a $700 purchase of the Xoom later this month. I was telling her about the commercial during the Super Bowl coming up, how cool it was, how she'll love it too, how we have to have it, blah, blah, blah.

The commercial comes and I'm telling her to really pay attention and then the most bizarre, unflattering, confusing, whatever commercial of the day.

Today I get back on AC and see that BB announces the $800 price tag and $20/month for 1gb data. FAIL!!

Looks like I'll be keeping my rooted Nook Color another 6 months.

One Xoom commercial which wasn't the greatest and didn't even have a release date and two iPhone commercials that everybody and their mother already know about. For the amount of money those Superbowl commercials cost, it wasn't the greatest marketing stradegy. They should of done commercials on all of the upcoming phones being released that not many people know about and some release dates. I think the whole world already knows about the iPhone coming to Verizon. It was great watching Verizon bash AT&Ts service though......."Now you can here me right?"
