I've noticed this problem just recently and I think it might have something to do with some settings but I didn't find anything pointing to fix. So my Xperia keeps turning Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on and as it also brings back a few deleted pictures. I've deleted these pictures like ten times now and every time they come back as "new" photos. It is slightly annoying. What should I do? Thanks!

I tried it but I'm not sure when it happened... It doesn't happen for example every time I get home. I've been at home for the past 30 hours and I've turned Wi-Fi off and now it's on again. The Wi-Fi problem isn't that big because I can always turn it off when I notice, but the pictures that keep popping up are really really annoying.

Sorry, can you clarify--did this happen while the phone was still in Safe Mode?

In that case, some 3rd party app is causing this behavior. But it can tedious to figure out which one--you probably have to uninstall apps one by one until it goes away.

I figured out the pictures are from Facebook Messenger and only the ones I've sent to myself. It's so weird. Is there any other way to stop this than removing the photos (I haven't tried that yet though)? Oh and by the way, thank you so much for your help so far. Absolute gold.

You're very welcome!:D

The issue with Facebook Messenger pics might not be something you can change. If you don't want the pics constantly showing up in the Gallery app, one workaround is to go to the directory where the pics are being saved (it might be /Pictures/Messenger), and using a file manager app to add a blank text file titled ".nomedia" (without the quotes, but with the leading period). That will instruct the system to ignore that directory when scanning for images to add to the Gallery database.
