Xt912 to xt912m rooted file transfer

I have a rooted xt912 that I want to transfer all internal storage files to the empty internal storage of my non rooted xt912m... Is this possible and safe,,, I know they have the same mother board and the only real difference is the battery and processor,,,,,will this work?
