Since the 2.3 update, my yahoo mail is not receiving any emails.
Sending email works fine. The receiving part is a mystery that I can't solved.

Thanks in Advance!

This is a common issue I'm seeing on other forums. I think Yahoo will have to fix on their end.

yahoo wants you to pay the $19.99 a year to forward your mail to a pop or outlook........wow......or you can download the app

I'm having same problems. Called Sprint and they are telling me it is an issue on the Yahoo side. No estimate to have it resolved, but being a Server guy, it can't be a hardware problem, this has been going too long for that. It either has to be a major software problem or they have changed their stance on mobile connectivity. Has anyone heard if this is just EVO's that are having the problem or have you seen it from other devices?

Same problem here with the HTC mail app not downloading any mail.
I downloaded the K9 mail app and it works but I prefer the HTC one.
How does K9 work using imap but HTC does not?

The Yahoo Mail app stinks!

Have the same problem too and am using the yahoo apps instead till they fix the problems...the yahoo apps is annoying to me...just wanted to back to a simple email!!

I'm going to start an argument over flavors of apples, but Exchange Active Sync is a form of IMAP. It works the same way without being called IMAP.

The yahoo email (stock email, assigned a yahoo acct.) Is working perfectly on my husbands EVO 3D, and also on my sons Epic. So far it's only my EVO having this problem @ my house.

I'm not seeing how your post is relevant.
I fail to mention Exchange ActiveSync in my post at all.
I do question why the K9 email app can download my Yahoo mail using the imap settings while the HTC app cannot.

I talked with a Sprint customer service manager tonight. She stated that it is a problem with the last update and they are aware. She suggested that I clear the data in manage applications (mail). I can't do this because I deleted my account and reinstalled it already. Anyways, she said that they are working toward a solution. Bla bla bla....

My Yahoo mail using the stock app also stopped working. But via the Yahoo itself app from the market it works fine. I don't like that app, but it is better than not having access to my yahoo mail at all.

My post is relevant because you claim (and you're wrong) that the HTC email app can't do IMAP. Exchange Active Sync is a part of the HTC email app, and works identical to IMAP.

I do not think it is a "Yahoo" problem.... it is an "EVO" problem.
Neither my Yahoo OR my Comcast (Xfinity) mail have worked since 6/20/11on my stock EVO mail app.
I hope they fix this!!??

I will NEVER... EVER... pay $19.99 for yahoo!!
Furthermore when I visit Yahoo with my browser on my EVO and try to access my mail they FORCE you to use their "mobile version" app which is worthless... slow... cumbersome and very annoying.
I am ready to bail on Yahoo for that very control factor.

I'd look at all your settings as my Evo does my Comcast email using the HTC email app flawlessly. Yahoo has been an issue for a while off and on, and now on again.

I hope they do something cause I hate the stupid yahoo app in the market, it wouldn't be so bad if there was a delete all button! So annoying!

My intent was not to claim that the HTC email app can't do IMAP.
My point is that the HTC email app is not getting Yahoo mail using imap.mail.yahoo.com, which is the point of this thread.
The K9 email app is getting my email using imap.mail.yahoo.com.
The K9 app works for Yahoo, the HTC one does not - therefore my confusion over the situation.
I hope this is clearer now.

i switched over to the evo 3d and im confused on whose fault this is ( htc, sprint, or yahoo) but i have 2 seperate yahoo accounts and 1 is doing the same as everyone elses on here "no mail" and the other account is working without a problem. both accounts still work on my evo 4g, go figure.....

I switched ROMS and suddenly I can't get my yahoo mail to work either...

Can someone who has a functioning account check the server addresses and post them?

I've seen suggestions for:
imap.mail.yahoo.com
android.imap.mail.yahoo.com
htc.imap.mail.yahoo.com

android.imap.mail.yahoo.com

This is from a working Yahoo! Mail account on my rooted evo using the stock gingerbread rom.

I have it set to every hour and it works fine.

Edit: using stock HTC mail app
