thanks

sure nuff, good job switchin. i made the leap in november. check out the tips and tricks and easter eggs on the thread page. search the forums like crazy and good luck.

Switched from Blackberry to Droid just this past week. Looking forward to learning what Droid is capable of.

I just made the switch from a blackberry yesterday myself, and I don't think I will find another phone that I will like as much as the Droid, and I have only had the phone about 24 hours so far. I am sure that once I really get to know the phone inside and out, it will only get better. The forums on here are a great place to learn things!

Welcome to DROID ! , its an amazing phone , i got the eris as well , both solid phones that will only get better !

I got the Droid for myself and the Eris for my wife with the Verizon deal and we both love our phones. My wife is not as "techy" as I am, but she has been obsessed with her Eris since we got our phones last week. We definitely prefer the Droids over the Blackberries we had. Looking forward to the upcoming update.

can i get my yahoo mail pushed to my droid?

yeah, but you have to upgrade your yahoo to yahoo plus to do it. of course some on here have had success doing an end-around on yahoo plus, but i would recommend switching to gmail, as that gets pushed to your phone without issue

I second this. It took me a matter of 4 minutes to sign up on gmail, have gmail fetch my mail from the yahoo account. I then sent email to all the contacts that were just ported from yahoo into gmail saying I swapped my email address.

It was all very simple and gmail creates a folder that says 'usernamehere'@yahoo.com with all the older mail so you can have it in the new box.

I tried my best to get the work around on yahoo and couldn't. If I had realized it would have been 4 minutes worth of setup verses 3 days of wasted time, I would have just swapped from the get go. It's B.S that yahoo charges you for the extra features anyways!

Wait till the "Rooted Droid Mods" forums start catching your eyes or you hit Alldroid up and see what there doing lol....You'll start loosing sleep :o

Actually, its not really a workaround at all. All I have is a regular yahoo account. You just put in a few settings to manually configure the account and its all up and running. I think it took me 2 or 3 minutes tops. And you can set it up to check as often as you want it to. Let me know if you need the settings.
