Yay! Happy Rootday for me

One year to the day, since I bought my Note 10.1 2014. I have loved it, used it, but had some frustrations with some of the bloatware and some limitations. I was waiting almost patiently for the day I could root and not have to worry about my warranty.

Well TODAY was the day. I used the CF root instructions and it worked FLAWLESSLY! I was bit nervous, but I have rooted other devices, just not ones that I paid so much for, but it all worked great!

NOW, what can I do now that I could not before. I tried to add apps to the multi app screen window, but dont see any additional ones appear, what do I need to do get get all my apps available to multi app scr.This was one of my main reason to root.

Also, give me some other ideas of what I can get rid of, Ive already ditched a few of the useless Samsung apps. What else can I get rid of that wont impact other things.

Last, what are some cool things I can now do, now that Im officially ROOTED!

Well...rooting can allow you to use apps like Wakelock detector, or even Titanium Backup. Titanium will allow you to freeze or even delete any app (including system apps so be careful).

You can change the clock speed of your processor (again be careful), install a custom recovery (if you haven't already) or even flash a different ROM.

Congratulations! You will need an app like MW window manager. There are quite a selection in the app store. I finally settled on MW window manager.

I've added apps to the multi-window area by manually editing the apk file. But I did it so long ago that I don't remember what I did, and I can't easily find where I found the instructions - I believe it was somewhere on XDA-developmers.com. Ahhh thanks, was not aware. Ok so when I look for mw window manager several come up. Which one (dev name maybe?) Did you use?

Thanks Moshe. This one finally worked, sorta. I guess I was just expecting the apps to appear, but I see now, the mw app let's you add them, then you have to reboot, and THEN they are available to add. But there is still a limit of how many can be on the pull out at one time.

Wow, cool! on the Pen Window app, did not even think about that, but its VERY cool to be able to draw in a window with any app, in addition to the multi window for any app.

Very happy I rooted. Now to figure out what I can get rid of, and not blow up the tablet

This is the app that I use for removing bloatware. It tells you which apps are safe to remove and which apps are not safe to remove. It also stores an image of the removed apps so you can always reinstall them.
