Yesterday I got a prompt my Yahoo email could not be accessed or something similar

When I try saving the existing settings, I get an error Yahoo... can't be authenticated, update your account settings, try again.

I've tried yesterday and today. I deleted the account and have tried re-adding it. Not getting any further.

Ideas?

Pixel 3 and I believe it was working before this.

I know NOTHING about that. I will check it out.

Actually, trying to use Blackberry's Inbox which has worked until recently. And to show how little I pay attention to some of this stuff, I see that I have the Yahoo account under Settings/Account/Yahoo. But frankly, where that might show up and what it feeds, I have no idea. I exclusively use the BB Inbox for collecting and sending email from Yahoo and two gmail accounts.

I recall getting an email from Yahoo recently reminding me that they would require the use of an app password from now on if accessing Yahoo Mail from most 3rd party email clients, so hopefully this work for you.

THANKS so much. You really are on top of things.

Recently, I have been updating a variety of passwords to more complex strings (I never did use Password for a password). But, now, of course, I can't remember my more arcane passwords. So just one more place to deal with this type of stuff - I read that this is a one time need per app so I guess I don't have to memorize this one.
