Yet Another 4G Outage?

Had my Rezound for less than 2 weeks now and already 2 outages? What's with this 4G????

Network growing pains? It's got to be quite an undertaking racing the competition to completion. I would expect a lot of this in the coming months.

yup, widely reported outage. It is discussed in the other thread as well. 3g rev a seems to be working for me.

Same, just got off the phone with Verizon and no estimate timeframe of the problem being resolved.

What I posted in the other thread may help.

sometimes I have to manually force lte on using the lte onoff app or similar. although, as said above, the lte is down. if you are getting 1x, try lte only with voice, if that doesn't work, try cdma auto prl.

If that doesn't work, then most likely, it means lte and ehprd (3G) are down. you can force it to rev. A (3G) by doing the following and it may work.

1. Dial ##778#
2. Press Call button
3. The password is 000000
4. Choose Edit Mode
5. Go to Modem Settings
6. Choose Rev A
7. Switch from eHRPD to Enable
8. Press OK
9. Commit Modifications (reboot phone off/on)

Indeed it does by switching the radio to EVDO Rev A.

I'd forget I made the switch and start swearing at the phone again tomorrow

3G has been solid for me all day, not in a 4G coverage area at work.

I suppose it helps that I'm on the East Coast anyway, VZW from what I've seen seems to be going East-West with their implementation of 4G service.

I would get use to it all of the carrier's are having issues with the smartphone boom. I am loosing signal at my house even with a network extender I sometimes get no signal. I contacted verizon and they told me that the bandwidth is being used up with so many activations in my area. They gave me the opportunity to let me out of contract with no etf fees on six lines. I always had five bars here for the last six years.

well, it works fine for me, hopefully all other areas will go up as well. Looks to be back up and running. I love that Verizon claims 3G was working...yeah, Rev A works, but not ehprd.
