Yet another model of Galaxy Nexus coming i

AT&T doesn't want to sell an unlocked device that users can easily take to Tmo, especially since the Tmo deal is having issues. This gives a little hope that AT&T will subsidize it. Could also be similar need from Canadian carriers.

like I posted in the comments..If this was for At&t the model number would be GT-i9250A this is most likely for Telus in canada hence the T at the end of the model number...

I follow your logic, but do Canadian phones have to go through the FCC for approval?

I was hoping for this beauty to come to AT&T but now with this news I have question. Will this supposed phone only work on those AT&T frequencies and have the other frequencies locked... or will it only work on AT&T and I can not even carry it overseas to use it in any other country. I weas hoping it will be a phone, since ATT is GSM, I can carry anywhere in the world to use it.

I am on the same boat. Looking at the FCC RF exposure document, it ONLY contains 850 and 1900 WCDMA, no 1700 (Tmobile) NOR 2100 (asia and europe). Essentially crippling this phone to AT&T only. This phone will be garbage within 6 months since there is no international resell value whatsoever. AT&T is evil.

I am not sure the FCC test 900 or 2100. Since it is not used in the US.

Isn't the "T" usually designated for the Austrailian models of Samsung phones for Telstra and Vodafone Austraila? I know Telstra is one of the operators that runs WCDMA on 850.

Just thought I would add this to the debate about this FCC information. GT- i9250T is the at&t model.

The Nexus S in Best Buy's system is called this: Model: GT-I9020T

Samsung - Google Nexus S Mobile Phone - Black (AT&T) - GT-I9020T

So it may be carried by Best Buy subsidized.

Actually that's a mistake in their system. If you check the AT&T Nexus S forum, you'll find a couple threads about members trying to buy from Best Buy and them selling the T-Mobile version (9020T) as the AT&T version. Best Buy does/did sell the correct version for AT&T, but it is model 9020A.

Just wondering.. is the Nexus S for AT&T a dual band phone or a quad band phone which can be used anywhere in the world..if the Galaxy Nexus is a dual band phone only for AT&T which cant be used anywhere in the world...i have to think about it all over again..

The Nexus S is quad-band so different models are required to get 3G on either AT&T or T-Mobile. The Galaxy Nexus, however, is pentaband, so a single model can work on both networks and get 3G.
