I'd normally avoid it, but hey, Android Central really, really suggested I do this, plus I can't download files I'd like until my post count is ≤ 1.
Anyway, my wife and I recently took the plunge and got new cell phones, and opted for Android-platform ones. My wife went for the Droid X on Verizon, and since I'm a cheapskate, I went with the Optimus V on Virgin Mobile.
So far, she's liking her phone, but it drinks juice like it's no big deal. She's already downloaded a million apps for it.
I have yet to activate my service (still a month to go on AT&T contract), so I'm just digging around here, learning about Android and trying things out. I do software verification/validation for a biotech company, so it's sort of easy for me to learn this sort of thing, but it's definitely a second-language, so to speak.
Anyway, thanks for all the great content, and I look forward to learning more. I hope I can contribute at some point to the discussion.
