Yoga Book (Android Version) battery super slow charge

Got my device in December of 16. GREAT unit, works like a champ except for a possible battery problem. Sometimes it charges right up in 2.5 hours, but most other times it takes around 8 hours! I ran the battery from 100% full charge down to auto-shut off level 4 times to start from new. Now I have been recharging it when it reaches 50 to 55% battery level. I have already purchased a new high quality charging plug and cable, which has made no difference. I have found nothing on the internet regarding this device having problems!

Any HELP would be greatly appreciated...THANKS!

Welcome to Android Central! You're always charging up from a wall outlet, not a computer USB port, correct? Have you checked the charging port to make sure it's clear of debris? Use a can of compressed air to blow it out, or a damp toothpick to root around.

Thanks for the reply B. Diddy! My Husband says always from a wall outlet also...lol We checked the USB for debris, all clear! Gotta love that can of air...

When it charges slowly, are you actively using it? If you're using it while charging, that can certainly slow down the battery level rise.

After finally creating a ticket with Lenovo, they simply sent us a newer charging wart. The unit now charges to 100% in 3 hours or less, even if you are using it! Lenovo came thru for me, YES!!

Same problem here, but in my case it was the power cable (that could or could not be a Lenovo's cable. It's all mixed here...)
