You guys with ICS.. Is 4g still tough on the battery?

Yup. New software won't change the separate LTE hardware.

4g itself is not tough on the battery. Its when you're on the fringe of 4g and it cycles on and off as signal comes and goes.

I live in the Chicago land area and I get 4g pretty much EVERYWHERE around Chicago. Battery life isn't bad for me. Now if you're in an area with SOME 4g towers, then you'll see worse battery life.

Yup. It's the existence of a separate LTE processor that kills the battery though, at least when it's on and constantly searching for signal.
