Your phone has a virus! How do I know if I have a virus?

Your phone has a virus!

My wife's Galaxy received a pop up saying "your phone has a virus" please click to remove. Is this bogus? How do I know if I have a virus ? When she passed up the offer another screen with the little android guy with a spinning prism in his chest?

If she received the pop up while browsing it's most likely a regular Web pop up.

The second pop up is just triggered by closing /passing on the first one.

Go into the phones browser and clear cache etc.

This should be enough
