YouTube and multitasking

I have a Samsung S5 and when watching YouTube, I often want to switch to another app while having YouTube still playing. Is this possible or does it depend on your phone?

You can play it in the background if you signed up for YouTube Red. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/6308116?hl=en

Otherwise, I don't think you'll find any 3rd party apps that can do this on Google Play, since it probably violates YouTube's terms of service.

Thanks for the link. I never heard of YouTube red before. Doesn't Samsung have some kind of split screen thing so you can watch video while doing other stuff, for example? Does that sort of thing work with YouTube?

Yes you can do that. Go to settings and turn on multi window.
