I'm constantly on wifi and never noticed this until reading your post. As you said, Zedge wouldn't play. Youtube did play but it took an incredibly long time to search and begin once I selected something to play.

I think out depends on where you are. At the moment I'm in a 3g only area and my speed is pretty good. But back home where sprint has both 3g & 4g, I think they've reduced the bandwidth available to 3g. Because my 3g performance is never this good back home.

I've got great 3g signal 1.6meg . Its not a signal issue everything works great through the browser. Web pages are loading very fast, flash videos are working on website. No problem downloading from the market . This is a strange problem. All the videos load up to the left when I try to play 1 I just get to drill down spinning thing. I can let it go for ever and it will never download video. if I switch to wifi it's almost instantaneous. Other people have had this problem on the evo 3 d. There was a post about it a while back in there forum. I tried to fix that they used and it worked but only temporarily.

I have had the same problem since I got my photon. I posted here and other forums and tried everything. Customer service and local repair center says its a problem in the network and my phone is fine, yet 3 other htc phones in the house work fine. My problem is also with slacker and pandora and sprint tv along with youtube loading but not playing. Netflix and shoutcast work fine over 3g tho.

I had almost got another one from Radio shack but before i got out of the store with it we tried it out and it did the exact same thing. I ended up cancelling the purchase.

Weird, I was just watching a YouTube video on my Photon yesterday. We were driving through hilly NH, and the signal was weak. It took a long time to load and was very pixelated when it played, but it was clear enough for what I wanted just then, and basically worked as well as I would have expected, given the signal.

Its for sure a setting thing. I'm sure when you got your new phone settings were transferred with it. I was able to chang the http port to 0 and it worked for a while. I went back and checked the port setting is still a 0 but something has changed. Sprints tec support is down now so I'm waiting till there back up. Will report the fix when its found.

Ok Got through to sprint tech. After a short argument about whether not it was an issue with the app. I was able to get to someone who understood the issue. We started by reset the http port setting to 0 again even though it was all read set to 0. Did a profile update over the air, and capped it all off with a hard reset. Everything is now working as it should. We will see how long it lasts this time.
