On my Samsung Galaxy S7 I've42099.jpg which show i've been having issues where device maintenance keeps notifying me that Youtube is causing performance issues that may be causing battery drains

Welcome to Android Central! Have you been noticing actual performance issues or battery drain? If not, then it sounds like a false alarm from Device Maintenance. I believe Samsung's Device Maintenance is powered by Clean Master, whom I don't trust.

If you are actually noticing performance issues, try going to the App Manager, select YouTube, and Clear Cache/Data.

I'm not exactly sure if I've seen any battery or performance issues but I've already cleared the cache, and has popped up multiple time in atleast yesterday and today

If I were you, I'd uninstall everything written by Cheetah. They show an abject lack of knowledge of how Android works, so I wouldn't trust them.

For instance, Clean Master, their big app, "cleans" apps "out of RAM" - which is exactly what Android doesn't want done. (See Multitasking the Android Way if you want to know why.) They can sell apps, even if the app that's supposed to make your phone run faster actually makes it run slower.

In the 45 years during which I've been writing software, I've never written an app (or a program) just to make money even if it didn't accomplish what it was supposed to do. (Use an app like SystemPanelLite to clear apps out of RAM. You'll notice that by the time you've cleared out the third one, Android has reloaded the first one. That's what happens when Clean Master tries to clear all idling apps out - Android keep reopening them. This isn't Windows. that needs as much unused RAM as possible, it's Android, which considers unused RAM to be wasted RAM.)

But the big problem here is that Cheetah's Device Maintenance is actually baked into Samsung's system. It's not a discrete Cheetah Mobile -- Device Maintenance is "powered by" Cheetah. This has always bothered me about Samsung phones, and certain other phones that also include Cheetah software.
